The Merrick Family Foundation
The Merrick Family Foundation, established in 2008, is 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that is committed to its mission of enhancing the lives of children and young adults who have experienced unforeseen circumstances. By dedicating time and money, this family foundation seeks to increase opportunity and improve the lives of others along the way.
The Merrick Family Foundation is guided by the generous, positive lives of Jack and Skip Merrick. Inspired by two remarkable individuals, founders Paul Merrick, John Merrick, Terry Merrick and Karl Laue formed the foundation as a means of giving back to the community, encouraging philanthropy in others and to make a positive difference.
The Foundation supports individuals in need as well as non-profit organizations whose programs:
- Provide experiences for sick or injured children
- Prepare children and young adults for life beyond injury or illness
- Support medical and/or education needs for less fortunate or those met with unexpected circumstances
In six short years, we have donated to eight causes totaling over 50 thousand dollars.
Second, third and fourth generation Merrick family members continue the legacy of their parents and grandparents in their commitment to selfless giving, generosity of spirit and continue the tradition through their leadership roles within the Foundation.
Requests for funds are accepted all throughout the year. Please visit the beneficiary application for more information and to submit your story for consideration.
